Andhra Pradesh IT Minister N. Lokesh on 24th Aug 2017 (Thursday) officially launched the AP Electronics and Investment Agency Tech Hub with eight IT companies at Resapuvanipalem, Visakhapatnam. AP Non-Residents Telugu (APNRT) Society has collaborated with AP IT Promotion Department to bring these firms to the Vizag. The new units would provide 600 jobs, according to sources.

- Virtual Guard Services (VGS) – Provigil

- Jiva Digital Services
- Vismaya Premedia.
Amaravati IT Development: The list of eight IT companies deals with IT consultancy, IT/ITES services, projects and products among other services. “Creating an ideal IT ecosystem requires a pool of talented resources and companies. We have been actively working in facilitating and coordinating students, training institutes and IT companies to build that strong ecosystem,” said Dr Ravi Vemuru, APNRT president and AP government advisor.
He also added that they would shortly bring 22 units in Andhra Pradesh – 18 to Amaravati and four Nueve Solutions, Vivalex, Young Logistics and Fusion Technologies – to Visakhapatnam with a total employment potential of 3,000 and admitted that ready-built space was a big constraint for locating IT units in the city.
“After soft launch and encouraging response, we are very excited over launching of our units by Mr. Lokesh,” a promoter of one of the companies said.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister said that in the next two years one lakh jobs would be generated in the IT sector in AP, including 70,000 of them in Visakhapatnam alone. The State Government was making all-efforts for a ten-fold increase in the IT exports from the State which is at present at Rs 2,000 crore, in the coming few years, he said.
“The State Government has come out with suitable IT policies such as the new designated technology policy to incentivise both IT space developers and IT companies. Kapulauppada here will be developed as a major IT city by 2019, with residential and other facilities for the IT personnel,” he said.
In an interesting development, the 11-floor building, which was taken on lease by the AP Electronics and Investment Agency (APEITA) as part of the drive to provide plug and play facility to IT players has been renamed as Tech Hub. Earlier, it was named Cyber Tower. Tech Hub – has been taken on lease by the AP Government from Techmahindra to provide space to the companies.
