Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and Sri Ramaswami Memorial (SRM) University, both of which are engaged in constructing their campuses at Inavolu and Neerukonda respectively in the capital region of Amaravati, would start their academic classes in Amaravati from this year. Recently P. Narayana (Municipal Administration Minister) and Ch. Sridhar (AP-CRDA Commissioner) both are visited the ongoing construction works of both campus sites. They are speaking on the occasion, Mr. Narayana said the works are going on at a fast pace and classes would start from coming academic this year very soon.
VIT | SRM to Start Academic Sessions in Amaravati
Mr. Narayana also said that apart from these universities, the government is trying to bring in international institutions to the capital before 2018 in order to make Amaravati an economic growth engine of the State.
- SRM University would start its academic session from August 7, 2017.
- VIT University would start its academic session from July 19, 2017.
Both the universities have already started the admission process. Here they are the list of seats offering to this academic session.
“VIT University is going to have 660 graduation, 120 postgraduation and 50 Ph.D. seats.”
“SRM University Chief Professor Narayana Rao said admissions would be held for 240 students in this academic session.”
