Andhra Pradesh CM, N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked the establishment of an Emirates group in new capital city Amaravati to make flights connectivity with Visakhapatnam(Vizag) airline’s hub.

“A.P. has abundant opportunities in the aviation field and the middle class is keen on using airline services.” Our State CM told Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President Adnan Kazim during a video-conference at his Vijayawada camp office on Oct 12, 2017, Thursday.

Chandrababu has invited the Emirates Group to invest in new state capital Amaravati, AP. In addition to this reviving old ties and working on better connectivity for air services between Andhra Pradesh and Dubai, Mr. Naidu said the State government was keen on improving connectivity between cities in Andhra Pradesh and Dubai.
“The Centre is contemplating withdrawing investments in Air India. It is a golden opportunity for private players,” he said, adding: “The Government of A.P. has plans to develop Visakhapatnam and Amaravati airports as more greenfield international airports in partnership with private entities.” Mr. Kazim said team experts from Emirates would soon conduct a study on the investment opportunities in A.P.
And the next steps will be discussed during the Chief Minister’s visit to Dubai on the 22nd October. He was told that he will be welcomed by “Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum”, Chairman of Emirates, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and the uncle of the ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Pennsylvania Ambassador Kanika Choudhary and Singapore government representative Raghu were also present for the meeting.
A partnership would help significantly the growth of the State capital.
