Vijayawada International Airport is a public airport serving the state of Andhra Pradesh. Located at Gannavaram, 13 KM from Vijayawada, the airport serves for the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. Also known as Gannavaram Airport, it has easy access to the National Highway 16 connecting Chennai to Kolkata pass through. In the recent past, the Airports Authority of India is making infrastructural changes to this Gannavaram Airport. Recently, the Emirates Airlines was all set to launch its international flights from Vijayawada international airport.
